Poll results for the poll of the week. In fact it was a poll of almost three weeks. There were a total of 207 votes casted. According to this, our most favourite part in sex is sexual intercourse itself. Almost 26% of the voters checked this option. It's followed by sucking (21%), foreplay (17%), kissing (16%), hugging (8%). The least favourites are group activities and kinkier stuff with 6%. I always love a live poll on my blog working on the sidebar somewhere. Some of these polls, if they are just “clean” ones never work at all. I barely get 50 votes weeks after I put it online. But when the subject is more, let’s say “HOT”, such as this week’s poll, it takes less than 3 weeks to reach over 200 votes :).

That is really something I find funny :). It’s actually a good evidence what most of you are here for. Naughty you! :))

This past week’s poll was simply about what part of sex are our favourite ones. The results are below the thumbnail on the left. You may also click on the thumbnail if you are more interested in a visual put-up.

You can’t really imagine how stressful it is for me to find a new subject for a poll. Each time I publish a poll’s result, I set thinking for the new one which is a whole torture to me. So if you have ideas for polls, please pleaaaaase just send me your suggestions via the comment box below. Don’t go too much over the edges. I mean I won’t be publishing polls of too much pornographic nature. Few drops of sexuality could be nice though :). Please also note that they should be related with any “gay” topic. And also remember viewers of this blog is world wide. Not only from a certain country.

The gay pride week has come to an end with the parade of the biggest (yet) crowd in the Istiklal Street on the 28th of June, 2009. At first, the police didn’t let the crowd in but then they decided to allow people but in one condition: “Put down the placards and banners!” which actually didn’t seem to work after couple of meters of walk :) Below are a few shots from my camera where the march ended (in Galatasaray)

I still feel psychologically traumatized since I heard the news: Michael Jackson died. He means a lot for the ones at my age and for me maybe a bit more. I was a fan in his brightest days then somehow we didn’t hear much about him for years. I was starting to think I wasn’t a fan anymore. Until someday, a couple of weeks back, I came across one his videos on youtube and started digging to see more.

I must confess I still felt a huge respect although he wasn’t on the stage anymore. I asked, when he is going to be back or will he be back on stage again… I thought he deserved a big “come-back” after years.

But since today, when I heard the news, I can’t really express my feelings. I felt like (and still) I lost a part of my youth with his loss. I’m too sorry losing him.

Rest in peace, the king of pop! Rest in peace, Jacko!

The Aquarius Sauna (Staff)

Now I’ll give  you a recommendation just in case you are planning to visit Istanbul. First off, I must confess I am usually too much concerned (maybe over-concerned) about the hygiene of gay public places such as saunas or hammams. That is why I prefer to stay away from these sort of actions.

Until yesterday…

Massage Room

We had a night out in a gay club (Tek Yön) then we were about to go home since it was already 5:00 in the morning when we got out. Right at this point, a friend suggested going to this sauna-jakuzzi place located pretty close. Me and my boyfriend resisted for a while but that didn’t take long. The place is called Aquarius located quite centrally. I can tell (now at least) it was totally beyond my expectations. It was quite clean (I mean clean- simply clean – don’t expect too much). It has a sauna, a small pool, a jakuzzi, massage room (it looked very discreet – I don’t know what really happens inside). It also has a small gym inside it if you’re interested (I wasn’t).

I really enjoyed every moment of it. It’s open 24 hours. It was almost 6.00 when we were there and there were still clients. I witnessed also a bit of action (not much) in the sauna and jakuzzi. I wasn’t a part of these actions but the whole experience was definitely relaxing to me. The staff is also quite nice. You may wander around in nude comfortably. That was what I did.

All you need is taking a shower before using the sauna or pool or jakuzzi. You may also want to get your own slippers if you don’t want to use the ones they provide for you.

If you are living in europe, you probably know somethings about the Eurovision Song Contest and are aware it has turned out to be a gay event especially after 2000’s. Long term relationships between gay people are rare to see. Certainly to maintain this relationship could also be quite difficult from time to time. I have really been wondering where and how the concept of “open relationship” was born, at this very point. Is it an inevitable situation for especially gay couples to maintain a long term loving partnership? Or is it simply a part the “open-mindedness” of the gay crowd to be free and independent while keeping the same partner for a life time?

What I have been witnessing lately is actually almost all the long-term-gay-couples have an open relationship. I’m not here to discuss the sexual health risk here. But I can tell this really works for most of the couples to make their relationship live longer either playing it together or separately or both.

At this point I can’t help thinking where we put term “sexuality” and “sharing our partner with others” in our lives. My very personal view is that I don’t have the right the possess my partner with his whole being and his body and sexuality is definitely a part of this possession. He should have the freedom to play the game of sexuality as he likes exactly the same way I live my own sexuality. As a matter of fact, as long as I know that love, intimacy and affection all stays there between us, I don’t actually care where he gets his sexual needs fulfilled. This is more like we don’t have to eat all our dinners together for a life time. Because when I turn to myself, I see there is actually no change in my love and affection against him even though I might have sex with others. To be honest I feel even more love and affection.

I just wanted to share my ideas but certainly I have no intention to promote open relationship. This is completely between that two people to decide. So what do you people think about open-relationship?

For how many of you the word “mirc” make sense?

the very first years of me with the internet…

It took me a while to discover the “chat” thing and there was the mirc waiting out there! (btw, I think it’s still there somewhere) It took me even longer to discover the most popular gay chat room in Turkey those days :) but… there I met (chatted + met) many people who I’m still good friends with.

It may sound weird but “sex” was not the only thing you were there for. And the most sad thing about it is that this was even less than 10 years ago! When you dropped online in the room, you met many friends and it took sometime for you to say “hi” to all…

I really miss that naive side of this sort of gay-gathering! Nowadays there are couple of popular gay-date sites which I still visit from time to time. I must admit they don’t have the same taste. It’s simply “hi” then “are u a top or a bottom?”…

Oh c’mon! Just be more than that! Maybe it’s not the mirc. Yes, it’s not the mirc. It’s the people who have changed…
